Giddalur water, like most of Andhra Pradesh, is sourced from borewells and groundwater aquifers. As water travels through rock and soil, it dissolves calcium and magnesium carbonates — the minerals responsible for hard water. The result: 400 ppm TDS, classified as High hardness.
